A day after I got my hair digipermed, my brother arrived from Dubai for a vacation. We went to NAIA Terminal 1 to pick him up. We waited and waited, 'til he finally arrived. :) It was such a nice sight, knowing that we haven't seen him for 2 long years. He left when I was about 4 months pregnant and came back with my baby boy already a year old. My baby boy immediately eased up on him, he let my brother carry him. :)
I missed my brother a lot and I'm glad he's home.
Time flies, because tomorrow he is flying back to Dubai via Cathay Pacific. He's been bugging me for the entire week to have his flight re-booked and I did try to call up every single day but all slots were full to my dismay.
I am beginning to feel the sadness as time ticks 'til he goes back abroad. :(

Hello, curls! :)
This is a VERY late post. :)
But anyway, I had my hair digipermed, stracurled actually, last July 27th at Beauty Brick Hair Studio somewhere in Makati Avenue. By stracurl, I meant that the top portion of my hair was rebonded and the middle part to the bottom part was digipermed. The complete process took about 4.5 hours and the result is the fabulous curls. Simply put, I LOVE IT! Even if Mr. Shin is not much of a happy person that day (he looks tired), kudos to him for giving the curls that I've always wanted.
Hopefully, the curls would last from 6-12 month and I would still go back to Beauty Brick for a retouch. I'm one satisfied customer!
Pictures to follow soon! :)

SAVE.
Saw this quote on Tumblr. I loved it, so me... :)

Come on, June! :)
The month of May has been a tough one for me. It's a rollercoaster of emotions if I may say. For the first time in so long, I never dreaded the month of June 'cos I know it'll be a hell lot nicer than May. I'm feelin' the good vibes coming. :D
Fingers crossed, I will see you Boracay this June! Let the good times roll! :)

Changes ♥
20 things that change when you have a baby
1 You discover an inner strength you never realized you had.
2
You accept that the last 10 pregnancy pounds you can't seem to shed are absolutely worth it.
3
You don't need a clock any more -- your baby now sets your daily schedule.
4
You relationship with your own parents change: you respect
and love them in a new way and find that you have so much to talk about.
5 Your heart breaks much more easily. Any pain your baby suffers feels much worse than your own.
6
You don't mind going to bed at 9pm on a Friday night.
7
You get a high at the mall when hitting the baby shops instead of fashion boutiques.
8
You discover how much there is to say about one little baby tooth. Everyday
is a milestone!
9
You look at your baby in the mirror instead of yourself.
10
You're no longer disgusted by babies' bodily functions - in fact, you're fascinated by them (hooray, a poo!)
11
The sacrifices you thought you'd made to have a baby no longer seem that big a deal.
12
You respect your body ... finally.
13
You realize that a baby's blanket has magical powers!
14
You give parents with a screaming baby an "I-know-the-feeling" look, instead of a "Can't-they-shut-him-up?" one.
15
You make time for one more baby hug and kiss, even if it means you'll be late.
16
You marvel at how it's possible to love a complete stranger.
17
You learn that taking a shower is a luxury, never mind a trip to the salon.
18
You finally get to speak to the shy neighbor in your street, because you've got a baby in your arms.
19
You find that many things that once seemed important are now meaningless.
20
Every day is a surprise.

Forgiveness♥
Jesus says: “There is no limit to this forgiveness. There is no limit to
how many times I can heal your broken heart when you’re hurt. There is
no limit to how many times I can set you free, no matter how they hurt
you, no matter how the offense replays, there is no limit to the
creative capability of God to make a new heart inside of you and to give
you the propensity to forgive no matter how much they hurt you.”

What do I call her?
I recently found out that somebody is using my picture as hers on Twitter. I can't actually believe it, it is indeed my picture with the watermark deleted. I used it as a profile pic on Facebook about a year ago and somebody is using it as a profile picture on Twitter. I can't think of any reason why a person can do that. Hello, I'm not even an "artista"! Won't her friends think that it's not her? It's pretty obvious, we're not of the same body type. Those 3 people I asked to look into it even told me, "OMG, that's you." My friend Tina, even told me, "I remember that bikini, girl." Of course, she will, cos it's the exact same style and hers just had a different color. Up until now, it puzzles me. I'm not mad. Then again, I'll have to make sure each of my pic will have watermarks on it that cannot be deleted nor cropped.
Let me just post my shout out at Facebook for her. Here goes:
Using someone's own words. Using someone else's photo is considered
stealing. You are branding yourself a poser. A fake! Don't you have a
pretty face or a sexy body to show people? Why SHOW MINE AS YOURS?! I'm
pissed, but flattered cos doing so means YOU WANT TO BE ME. Sorry to
burst your bubble, honey-- there's ONLY ONE ME and that's someone you
can NEVER BE. *peace sign here*
By the way, the first sentence is in behalf of my sister. Apparently, I also saw that she used my sister's blog title as her tag line of Twitter. And my sister found out that she has a blog and used my sister's blog title and posted my sister's own post without even acknowledging her.
What do we call people like that? I mean, seriously. What?

HURT.
I guess it's okay not to be afraid sometimes. Provoking someone doesn't mean you're actually strong. Sometimes, it's a means for you to find out if a person can restrain himself from hurting you. If that person shows the slightest hint that he can hurt you, then HE ACTUALLY and EVENTUALLY CAN.

A Must Read to brighten up my Gloomy Monday
As the song goes, "Rainy days and Mondays always get me down". That is exactly my how day turned out to be. Thanks to babycenter.com.ph again, I got my pick-me-upper. Read on...
50 Reasons Why It's Fun to Be a Parent:
1 Panicking because you've been given this newborn baby to take
home and you haven't even got the manual -- then realizing how much fun
it is learning on the job.
2 Feeling a tiny fist curl around your finger when you touch his palm.
3 Gazing into your baby's eyes and knowing he trusts you totally.
4 Breathing in the best smell in the world: sleepy baby!
5 Being amazed the first time you wrap him up in his blanket, put him against your shoulder, pat him gently, and, incredibly, the yelling stops!
6 Being the most tired you've ever been in your whole life -- and the most happy.
7 Sitting up in bed feeding your baby in the middle of the night, and knowing that all over the world other mothers are doing just the same.
8 Watching your partner show his son or daughter off to all the visitors.
9 Finding out, at your prenatal class reunion, that no one gets bored of your birth story, no matter how many times you tell it.
10 Overhearing your partner at a party talking earnestly about the best brand of diaper.
11 Watching your baby's sleeping face and wondering what the future holds for him.
12 Discovering how lovely the dawn chorus can be!
13 Taking him out for the first time and discovering that everyone wants to stop and talk.
14 Experiencing that amazing feeling of tenderness when your baby falls asleep in your arms.
15 Buying that baby guitar/Buzz Lightyear action figure/Dr. Seuss Special Edition book you always wanted (even though your baby is only one week old).
16 Discovering how infectious a baby's giggles can be.
17 Having someone to leave the family heirlooms to, even if they're only some love letters that baby's father once wrote to you and your lola's china puppy dog.
18 Exchanging a smile with other stroller-pushing mothers.
19 Dreaming up fantastic food combinations for your baby: avocado and banana, chicken and grapes, or kalabasa and broccoli.
20 Laughing when your baby starts waving at everyone on the bus or in the supermarket.
21 Discovering all the little characteristics that make your baby unique: fat toes, sticking-out ears, hair that sticks up no matter how much it's brushed.
22 Taking millions of photographs, which you keep meaning to put into an album, but never quite get round to it.
23 Developing a new family language as your toddler talks about scissoring the lawn or asks for a bikkit.
24 Having little pairs of tiny pink Crocs or ballerina flats lined up in the hall and/or Action Man underpants scattered on the floor.
25 Knowing the right things to say and the best way to help when your friends have a baby.
26 Watching lola and lolo (and ninang, ninong, tita, and tito) spoil their little treasure rotten.
27 Joining in tactile toddler pleasures like squeezing playdough in your hands, walking barefoot on the grass, or jumping in puddles.
28 Discovering that he's inherited your love of music or his dad's interest in racing cars.
29 or, even better, discovering he has totally different talents, like dancing or painting -- where did that come from?
30 Waking up to a sloppy kiss from your toddler.
31 Rediscovering the simple pleasures in life: brightly colored flowers, the softness of a cat's fur, or the feel of sand between your toes, with your little one.
32 Getting used to being known as Anthony's mom or Vicky's dad.
33 Crying when you see a baby born on TV, understanding how mothers feel everywhere from Beijing to Belfast.
34 Discovering the pleasures of three in a bed -- even if you and your partner only have a few inches of space while your baby lies sideways across middle.
35 Enjoying the chance to be really silly again -- walking around quacking like a duck or sitting at the table wearing a bib and silly hat to encourage your baby to eat.
36 Trying to answer those awkward questions: Do fish sleep? Why is the sky blue? How do cows have babies if they can't get married?
37 Relishing the moment (and every subsequent ones) when he first says, "I love you, Mommy."
38 Re-discovering how brilliant children's books are, even if you do sometimes have to "lose" the one he's wanted every night for the last three weeks!
39 Having one big bubble bath together: and squabbling over who gets the end with the taps.
40 Running up a quick cat costume out of a piece of string, an egg-box and an eye-liner pencil for a party.
41 Multi-tasking: learning how to mix up a bowl of cake mix with one hand while you stick a Band-aid on a toddler's knee with the other, breastfeed a baby and phone your mom to ask her what she wants for her birthday.
42 Discovering the world through your toddler's eyes: seeing him gaze at a caterpillar or stare transfixed on the setting sun.
43 Making a whole new circle of friends, who just happen to be parents, too.
44 Seeing your values: trying to be straight, kind, honest, hard-working and, treating others like you'd like to be treated rub off on him.
45 Enjoying making up with a hug and kiss once a tantrum is over.
46 Going to a Pixar film and no longer being the only unaccompanied adult in the queue!
47 Finding out that bringing up children gives your life a new sense of focus.
48 Crying when you drop him off at playgroup for the first time, then bursting with pride when you pick him up and realize he hasn't missed you at all.
49 Keeping all his best artwork from playgroup and turning your kitchen into your own National Museum.
50 Hearing your child say "mom" and wondering who that is, then realizing -- it's YOU!
2 Feeling a tiny fist curl around your finger when you touch his palm.
3 Gazing into your baby's eyes and knowing he trusts you totally.

A Post Perfect for the Love Month :)
I receive an email from BabyCenter Philippines and I definitely want to post it here cos it's perfect for a mom like me. This is my first Valentine with my kiddo. :)
7 signs that your child loves you
Last reviewed: January 2012
2. Your baby thinks about you even when you're not around. Between eight and 12 months old, he'll start to scrunch his face and look around when you leave the room — and he'll smile when you return.
3. Your toddler throws wicked tantrums. Nope, those screaming fits don't mean he's stopped loving you. He couldn't show he was so hurt and angry if he didn't trust you so deeply.
4. Your toddler runs to you for comfort when he falls down or feels sad. Children this age may not truly understand the meaning of "I love you," but their actions speak louder than words.
5. Your preschooler gives you a flower picked from the garden , a finger-painted heart, a sparkly stone or another gift.
6. Your preschooler wants your approval. He'll start to be more cooperative around the house and he'll look for chances to impress. "Look at me!" will become a catchphrase.
7. Your school-age child trusts you with secrets , such as his first crush or his most embarrassing moment. You're his confidante, even if he shies away from your hugs in public.
I do hope all these signs will be manifested by my Nathan. Signs 1 and 2's done. So happy to be a mom! :)
