Good News Story: Making It Happen

Below is the story I've sent in for the William Hill Recognition Good News Giveaway 2011. It's personal, and I'm glad they had it published on the website.


The best thing that ever happened to me is to be a mother. Despite the hardships of pregnancy, I was able to give birth to a handsome and adorable baby boy I named Julian Nathaniel, which means a gift from God.

Pregnancy and giving birth is not a walk in a park, at least not for me. I never had a completely happy pregnancy. There were those times when I felt like giving up my job because I get so tired. Times when I felt so alone and felt like crying. But I managed to get through it all, and everything is all worth it.

Nathan is my inspiration, my happiness, my strength, and my life. It is for him that I strive to do better at work, so I can provide a bright future for him. It is because of him that I appreciate my life, my work, my family more. My Nathan makes me feel that I'm the luckiest "Mama" alive.
I'm one proud mother because of you, Julian Nathaniel.

Tired of the same shit.

I've been away from work for 3 days, and I must say getting back sucks. I've had this feeling for quite some time now, and I don't even know if I should consider this healthy. As they say, if you're unhappy where you are, MOVE. I want to quit, no doubt about it. I just don't know what I'm waiting for. Changes, maybe? Simply put, I'm scared to leave my comfort zone. I'm scared of the risk. I'm gonna be sad not being able to be with the people I've been with for the last 4 years. But then again, I know I couldn't last long anymore. If only. If only I could get transferred or have a new task, I'd stay.

Realization

Between my confusion over what to buy, whether BB or IPhone, I realized that I don't splurge or spend for myself, even if I can actually afford it. *sigh*

Internet Safety

I haven't blogged in days, thanks to our trusty old computer that has auto-shutdown features. Lol.

Good news is, I can get my SSS loan from the HR. Iphone4, I'll come and get ya....NOT!

Bad news, upon checking my credit card statement online, I saw 2 charges of Tiger Airways on my bill and I go like... "What the F!" I haven't booked any flights from that airline company. I haven't got any plans of going to Singapore or whatever international flights that company may offer.

I am pissed. I've done what the customer service operator told me, my credit card is blocked and I will be sent a new one. But really, the issue here is internet safety. I've no intentions of purchasing anything online ever AGAIN.
